News On 28 October 2020, the deliberations of the EUROCOTON General Assembly took place in the form of remote participation. The General Assembly was accompanied by the Conference/Debate.
The main topic of the discussion during the GA was the decision of the EC eliminating the NACE codes concerning spinning and yarn extrusion from the carbon leakage exposed list. This is a great problem for European producers. In the same time the Chinese offering yarn at the same price as PET chips … the European yarn producers are loosing the battle !
