Last week, the GCA received from the USDA a new set of Universal Standards for Colour and Leaf of American Upland Cotton. These standards are valid through 30 June 2008. Thanks to the Universal Standards it is possible to class not only the US cotton but also almost all medium staple cotton saw ginned varieties produced in the world.

This year, the GCA received also the new official Uzbek and Azeri standards for medium staple saw ginned fibre.

The standards possessed by the GCA will be presented to those interested in such presentation at the 9th International Cotton Conference  in Gdansk, during 6 – 7 September 2007.
