In Febuary 2014, Gdynia Cotton Association received standards for Azeri raw cotton prepared by Cotton Cleaning industry Branch of Azerbaijan Cotton Growing Scientific Research Institute. These standards were prepared according  to the requirements of ISO Guide 34 “General requirements for the competence of reference material producers”. The set of Azeri standards consists of two kinds of standard samples: 21 boxes of cotton processed by the saw-ginned method and 21 boxes of cotton processed by the roller-ginned method.   The Gdynia Cotton Association Value Differences Committee carried out an inspection of the new standards and compared them with the previous set. Differences between the old and the new sets are slight and the Committee stated that standards were made accurately, preserving the appropriate colour and trash gradation in the whole range of all classes.
