When compared to the same period of 2014, in the 1st half of 2015 the total value of imports of textiles and clothes to Poland increased by 12,6% and it was 3,975 billion EUR – out of which 1,952 billion EUR was the share of textiles’ imports and 2,023 billion EUR was the share of clothes’ imports (increase by as much as 23,4%).
In the same period, the total value of exports of textiles and clothes from Poland increased by 13,3% – making 2,940 billion EUR – out of which 1,102 billion EUR was the share of textiles’ exports and 1,838 billion EUR was the share of clothes’ exports.

These data show that in spite of increase of exports of both, textiles and clothes, the Polish deficit in trade in textiles and clothes in the 1st half of 2015 exceeded the level of 1 billion EUR. The only group of products in which exports were higher than imports is the category of “Carpets and floorings” (imports – 100,7 million EUR, exports – 115,7 million EUR).
