Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan: Against imports of textile fabrics

Eurasian Economic Community (EEC) between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has initiated a safeguard investigation against textile fabrics imported from Third Countries. Since this is an “erga omnes” procedure EU imports will also be covered. Although the European Commission DG Trade will intervene in the process as an interested party and Euratex has just been intervening in the process as an interested party, it seems that the European branches members of Euratex which are concerned should intervene themselves as interested party.

The Fabrics included in the investigation are all from headings 5407, 5408, 5512, 5513, 5514, 5515 and 5516. Thus except the fabrics under 5407 and 5408 (woven fabrics of filaments), all other HS headings concerned exports of woven fabrics of synthetics and artificial staple yarns.
